Who am I?
Dr. King DC, MSc, CPT
Dr. Shawn King grew up in Strathcona County, going to school in Sherwood Park and playing hockey for Strathcona.
In addition to working in a clinical setting, Dr. King has worked with multiple sports teams in the field: Edmonton Clansman Rugby Club, Bev Facey High School Football, and the Strathcona Bruins Jr. Hockey Club. Dr. King also continues to volunteer on a rotation at the Boyle McAuley center, as a chiropractor. Dr. King enjoys giving back to the community.
His post secondary career started at NAIT in a 2 year Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma program. Dr. King then went to Grant MacEwan University for a Bachelor of Science. While at Grant MacEwan, Dr. King also played on the Men’s Hockey team and finished on the dean’s list for academics. After 3 years at MacEwan, Dr. King moved to Portland, Oregon and started his Doctorate of Chiropractic at the University of Western States. While attending UWS, Dr. King also enrolled in a Masters in Exercise and Sport Science program. Dr. King finished his Chiropractic program at the top of his class and graduated summa cum laude.
